There’s no place like Friends of Dorothy
Let’s take a walk down a yellow brick road as I recount my enchanting experience at Friends of Dorothy and their mesmerizing new menu launch! Let me tell you, it was a journey over the rainbow of flavours.
Friends of Dorothy have sprinkled their menu with a touch of magic, introducing a variety of new dishes with a gluten-free and vegan twist, all served up in their delightful family-style shared plate format. Just like Dorothy’s companions on her quest, I discovered an abundance of delights, like the savoury Veggie Pakora, the mouthwatering Cauliflower Steak, and the hearty Grilled Steak Sandwich, each dish a gem, an emerald if you will, along the road of delights waiting for us.
Their cocktail menu, akin to the treasures of Oz, is a treasure trove of surprises. From the whimsical “Your Little Dog, Too!” to the luring “Rudy Slipper” and the charming “Cowardly Lion,” each drink is crafted with precision and presented with panache. Yet, what truly impressed me was their commitment to mocktails. In a realm where non-alcoholic options often lacklustre, Friends of Dorothy has conjured mocktails that rival their spirited counterparts in glamour and craftsmanship.
If you haven’t embarked on an adventure at Friends of Dorothy yet, you’re missing out on an odyssey of Emerald City proportions. Step through their doors, and you’ll find yourself whisked away to a realm of shabby chic splendour. Every nook and cranny is adorned with whimsical decor, peppered with Oz references, and bathed in a rosy glow, creating an ambiance that’s as captivating as it is unique. From the artwork to the throw pillows and even the bathroom wallpaper, every detail pays homage to the Wizard of Oz mixed with shabby chic culture, inviting you to immerse yourself down their yellow brick road, where every moment is a feast for the senses.
