DriftWet Brings Fresh Hop Season to Driftwood Brewery
Fresh hop season is officially here, and Driftwood Brewery is celebrating with a brand-new event dedicated to one of the best times of year for BC beer lovers.
DriftWet takes over Driftwood Brewery on Sunday, October 4, bringing together fresh-hopped beers, food from Hanks and Unicorn Sparkles, vinyl spinning in the hop garden, and a few surprise guest taps.
The inaugural event is already sold out, but if you missed out on tickets, you can still head to the ticket page and join the cancellation waitlist. The good news? Driftwood plans to make DriftWet an annual event, so this shouldn’t be your only chance to experience it.

What’s Happening at DriftWet
For the event, Driftwood is expanding its patio into a full hop garden in the brewery’s front parking lot, with the festivities running outdoors rain or shine.
The beer lineup puts fresh hops front and centre, including Driftwood’s Sartori Harvest Fresh Hop IPA, three fresh hop beers from its Tideline pilot brewery, and four surprise fresh hop guest taps.
There will also be a Hanks and Unicorn Sparkles kitchen takeover, plus DJ Bill Stuart spinning vinyl throughout the day.
General admission includes a limited-edition DriftWet glass and your first 16 oz fresh hop beer, while VIP ticket holders get early entry, a brewery tour with Driftwood head brewer Andy, a $10 food voucher and snacks.
