A cozy evening in the Bengal Lounge, where Fairmont Empress and Hoyne Brewing Co. team up to create a beer-tasting extravaganza like no other. The event is set up beautifully for everyone to take a leisurely stroll around the “world,” sampling delicious beer and food pairings at each station.
Each table, supplies a mouthwatering Hoyne beer, drawing inspiration from different corners of the globe. Paired flawlessly with dishes crafted by Banquet Chef Mark Classen, they truly formed an unbeatable duo, each complementing the other in the most delicious way possible.
From the Czech Republic to Mexico, Canada to Italy, and Belgium, the beers on offer showcase flavours from around the world, inviting you to embark on a flavour-packed journey with every sip. The pairings are out of this world delicious. From the creamy Burrata perfectly paired with Che Bello Italian Pilsner to the robust 36-Hour Short Rib accompanied by Svec Half-Dark Czech Lager, it was a culinary adventure like no other.
While I sadly missed out on the Maple Sugar Pie pairing, I can vouch for the Sopés de Carnitas Por Favor Mexican Lager and the 36-Hour Short Rib Svec Half-Dark Czech Lager as absolute winners in my book.
The event was flawlessly executed, with little touches like welcome margaritas and a mix of family-style tables and high tops creating the perfect atmosphere for mingling and making new friends.
In short, Hoyne Around the World was a celebration of global flavours done right, a night to remember filled with delicious brews, delectable bites, and fantastic company. A huge cheers to the Fairmont Empress and Hoyne Brewing Co. for an unforgettable culinary journey!
