These BRIGHT pink diners are hard to miss and once you’ve been, they’re hard to forget. Floyd’s brings funky retro charm to five locations in and around Victoria, and the food is every bit as fun as the décor. The menu is full of creative, playfully named dishes like the Herb Hudson Chicken and Waffle Benny, the Burt Reynolds Grilled Cheese, and rotating specials that keep things exciting every visit. Portions are genuinely HUGE, so come hungry, because you will leave happily full. They are home to legendary Mahoney, where you hand the reins to the kitchen, let them create whatever they like, and then gamble on the price with a coin flip at the end. Double or nothing. It’s one of the most fun things you can do at a diner, full stop. A beloved Victoria institution that absolutely lives up to the hype. An absolute Victoria staple.

With four locations scattered in and around Victoria, each one boasting its own unique charm, you’re in for a treat. The diner seating, along with the lively and eclectic décor truly captures the essence of cool.
As you step into Floyd’s, you’ll be greeted by an amazing playlist featuring groovy tunes spanning the 60s to the early 00s. The volume is set just right, allowing for enjoyable conversations without missing a beat. Our personal favourite is the Brentwood location, where you’ll find a constant source of entertainment in the form of classic movies and beloved cartoons. It’s like stepping into a time machine of pure nostalgic bliss.
Menu

One of their unique offerings is the Mahoney, where the kitchen surprises you with their creation. At the end of the meal, you have two choices: either pay the regular price or take a chance and flip a coin. Win, and you pay nothing; lose, and you pay double! It adds an exciting twist to your dining experience.

James Bay -425 Quebec St.
This location is location is one of the larger of the four.This location has a large patio and a parking lot, as well, as street parking. There is also a patio here, but it’s not dog friendly. This location is wheelchair friendly. Although not on any major bus routes, busses 2, 5, 30, 31, 72 , 75 all come within a few blocks
Langford -721 Station Ave.
This location has close seating, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. No patio. There is a parking lot here. This location is wheelchair friendly and on the following bus routes: 46, 95
Royal Oak-4496 W Saanich Rd.
This location is larger with both booths and tables in it. They have a small parking lot and there is street parking. They have a large patio which is not dog friendly. If you remember the old Floyd’s on Quadra, you’ll find the old Marilyn here. This location is wheelchair friendly and on the following bus routes: 6, 31,71, 72, 75.
Gorge- 123 Gorge Rd. (our fave location)
This location is large with mostly table seating, some bar seats. They have a large parking lot. The location is wheelchair friendly and on the following bus routes 8, 11, 21, and 22.

Floyd’s has gained a reputation for their unique “Mahoney” dish. When you order it, you relinquish control over what you’ll be served, as the kitchen creates something entirely based on their inspiration. No substitutions or special requests are allowed; simply let them know if you prefer breakfast or lunch, and let the kitchen take it from there. Once you’ve finished your meal, you face an intriguing choice: either pay the original price or take a chance by flipping a coin for a shot at double or nothing. If luck is on your side and you win, Floyd’s covers the cost of your meal. However, if fate sides with the house, you’ll be paying double the price for The Mahoney.
