Romantasy Trivia Night Is Coming to Small Gods Brewing This Valentine’s Day

If your idea of a perfect Valentine’s night involves fantasy worlds, morally grey love interests, and a cold beer in hand, this one’s for you.

On Saturday, February 14, Small Gods Brewing Co. is hosting a special Valentine’s Day edition of It’s Lit, and it’s going all-in on Romantasy, the genre that’s been absolutely dominating bookshelves, BookTok, and group chats everywhere.

Romantasy (aka romance set in fantastical worlds) is officially having a moment, and this is the kind of event that understands the assignment. This is the 2nd Annual Romantasy Trivia Night, and this year the questions are organized by creature type, because of course they are. Expect dedicated rounds for dragons, fey/fae/faeries, vampires and werewolves, and other creatures of the dark.

Whether you’re firmly Team Rhysand, Team Aidas, or just here for the chaos, the vibes are bookish, nerdy, and very on brand for a Valentine’s night that doesn’t involve prix-fixe menus or awkward candlelight.

🎟️ Cost: $10 per team (you’ll get an email to confirm your team size)

There are $6 beers all night, plus prizes for both the winning trivia team and best costume, so dressing up as your favourite character is highly encouraged.

Minors are welcome to attend, but every team needs at least one responsible adult (19+) present for the entire event.

If you’re looking for a Valentine’s plan that feels fun, low-pressure, and genuinely joyful or you just want an excuse to argue about fantasy lore in public, this is absolutely worth putting on your calendar. Space is limited, so registering ahead of time is a very good idea.
