Thirsty Chef 2026 Returns to Market Square for an Afternoon of Food, Craft Beer & Community

Foodies and craft beer lovers, mark your calendars. Thirsty Chef is returning to Market Square on Saturday, August 1, 2026, for an afternoon dedicated to some of the best local food, craft beer, and community spirit Victoria has to offer.

Now in its 12th year, this beloved tasting festival brings together more than a dozen talented chefs and over 20 craft breweries for a unique culinary experience in the heart of downtown Victoria. Guests can sample creative dishes from local chefs while discovering standout beers from some of British Columbia’s top independent craft breweries.

Set against the backdrop of historic Market Square, the festival transforms the courtyard into a vibrant tasting experience complete with live local music, incredible food, fresh pours, and plenty of summer festival energy.

Beyond the food and drink, Thirsty Chef supports an important cause. The event raises funds for the Victoria Cool Aid Society, helping provide housing, health, and community services for people in need throughout Greater Victoria. Every ticket purchased contributes directly to supporting this vital work.

Your ticket includes all food tastings, a commemorative beer glass, and a donation to the Victoria Cool Aid Society. Beer tasters are available for purchase separately throughout the event.
